The Gawler Foundation receives bursary to help people with cancer

A bursary has been established to assist West Australians with cancer participate in a life-changing integrative program with The Gawler Foundation.
People affected by cancer in WA, particularly those in rural areas, can apply for a grant to help them participate in The Gawler Foundation’s ten day residential Life and Living Program in Victoria.
“The bursary will help offset some of the costs associated with participating in the program,” said The Gawler Foundation CEO, Karin Knoester.
“People experiencing cancer, particularly those from rural areas, are urged to apply.”
“The Gawler Foundation’s integrated approach to cancer management consciously addresses the whole person; the body, emotions, mind and spirit,” she said.
The Life and Living Program is a 10 day transformative program that meets and helps people to overcome the challenges of cancer.
Participants will stay at the foundation’s national headquarters, set on 15 hectares of forest amidst the remarkable peace and tranquillity of the Yarra Valley.
Since 1985, this unique program has provided real hope and support for close to 7000 people Working on the premise that our bodies have a natural, inherent capacity to heal themselves, the program teaches principles that enable participants to activate and develop healing power which maximises the body’s potential to restore its natural state of balance and vitality.
The program is complementary to any mainstream medical treatment.
